Check out the information below about our exciting 2nd quarter reading project. The link will give you the directions and some examples of text structures and text features. Ms. Alston, our media specialist, will be providing you some time during media specials to gather research and Ms. Gursslin, our art teacher, will be helping you with some design strategies for your magazine cover. Remember, though, that this project is a homework project and the majority of the work needs to be completed at home. The mini lessons in class and the support from our specials teachers is intended to give you a "jump start" on the project. The due date for this project is December 15th.

Students are very excited about our 3rd quarter reading project. They will be integrating information from different genres to create this project. Please see the instructions and examples below for specific steps involved. I am also providing the students with models and examples in our mini lessons during the first two weeks of the quarter to help everyone understand how to write the diary entries and construct the text features. Thank you so much for your continued support with your child's homework. The due date for the project is March 16th.
